Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to the exterior cleaning and related services (such as pressure washing, patio and driveway, roof, render, decking and gutter work) provided by Bristol Blast Away Limited, and to your use of this website. Please read them before booking. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

If you are a business customer and we have agreed separate written terms (for example a contract or purchase order), those terms take priority where they differ from these.

2. Quotes

• Our quotes are based on the information and photos you give us or on a site visit, and are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.
• Each quote states what is included and whether VAT is included.
• If, when we arrive, the size, condition of the surface or access is significantly different from what was described, we will explain why and agree any change in price with you before we continue.

3. Booking and weather

• Your booking is confirmed once you accept the quote and we agree a date.
• Exterior work depends on the weather. If heavy rain, frost or high winds mean the work cannot be done safely or properly, we will contact you as early as possible and offer the next available date. There is no charge for rearranging because of the weather.

4. What we need from you

• Access to the work area and to an outside water tap (and an electrical socket if we have agreed we need one).
• Vehicles, garden furniture and plant pots moved away from the work area where possible, and children and pets kept away while we work.
• Windows, doors and vents closed during cleaning.
• Let us know before we start about any defects you are aware of – for example loose slabs, cracked tiles, failing render or pointing, damaged gutters, or hidden pipes and cables.

5. Our work and results

• We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, and we hold public liability insurance of £5 million.
• Cleaning can reveal or loosen defects that already exist, such as weak or failed pointing, loose sand joints, cracked or porous surfaces, and flaking paint or render. We are not responsible for damage that results from defects that already existed and that we were not told about or could not reasonably have seen. If we notice a problem, we will point it out to you.
• Some marks – such as oil, rust, tyre marks or deep-set lichen – may not come out completely. Where we expect this, we will tell you before we start.
• Moss, algae and weeds return naturally over time. How long results last depends on shade, location and maintenance.
• Re-sanding, sealing, protective treatments and other extras are only included if they are listed in your quote.

6. Changing or cancelling a booking

• If you need to cancel or move your booking, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice.
• Your right to cancel (consumers): if you agreed the work with us away from our premises – for example at your home, by phone, online or by WhatsApp – you have 14 days from the day you agreed it to cancel without giving a reason. If you ask us to start the work within those 14 days and then cancel, you will pay for the work carried out up to that point. If we complete the work within the 14 days at your request, the right to cancel no longer applies. To cancel, simply email or call us.

7. Payment

• Domestic customers: payment is due on completion of the work, by bank transfer, card or cash, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
• Business customers: payment is due within the period shown on our invoice (normally 30 days). We may claim interest and compensation on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

8. If something is not right

If you are not happy with any part of the work, please tell us as soon as possible – ideally within 7 days of completion – and send photos if you can. We will come back to look and put right anything that is our responsibility.

9. Our liability

• We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
• We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses where you are a domestic customer.
• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Photos of our work

We may take before and after photos of the work for our records and to show on our website and social media. We never show people, house numbers or vehicle registrations. If you would prefer we did not use photos of your property, just tell us. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

11. Using this website

• The information on this website, including prices and guides on our blog, is for general information only and may change. Your quote is what applies to your job.
• The photos and content on this website belong to Bristol Blast Away Limited and must not be copied without our permission.
• How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
